Tip: Walk a few blocks away from the stadium to find normal prices. Street stalls on surrounding streets are much cheaper.

💡 Street Food Safety Tips

Look for busy stalls: if locals are lining up, it is a good sign of quality and freshness.
Do not drink tap water: always ask for sealed bottled water or aguas frescas made with purified water.
Watch out for salsas: try a tiny bit first, many Mexican salsas are extremely spicy.
Carry cash: many street stalls do not accept cards. Bring small bills ($20, $50 MXN).
Start easy: if you are not used to Mexican food, ease into it over the first few days.
